COBRA
You will qualify for COBRA if you:
1. Enter military Service
2. Your hours of employment are reduced
3. Your employment ends
ADDING NEWBORNS TO HEALTH COVERAGE/MATERNITY COACHES
You have the option to add your newborn to the SHP on the first day of the month in which your child is born or on the first day of the month following the date of birth.
For your newborn to be covered from the date of birth, the coverage effective date must be the first of the month in which the child is born. If you choose to cover your newborn the first of the month following delivery, you will be responsible for any claims incurred in the firth month by the newborn.
SHP Benefits/Plan Comparison
This site will allow you to view the plans offered by the SHP as well as compare costs. Also, you will be able to obtain other benefits offered through the SHP such as the Wellness Plan, etc.
SHP ELECTRONIC ENROLLMENT
This site will allow you to edit your benefits during the year if you qualify with a life changing event. (You will need to present documentation to your HR Representative for approval.)
