My name is Amanda Dillard, and I am honored to serve as the Exceptional Children (EC) Director for Gates County Schools. With 18 years of experience in exceptional children's education, I am committed to ensuring that every student receives the support, services, and opportunities they need to achieve their fullest potential. I believe that strong partnerships among families, educators, administrators, and the community are essential to creating an inclusive environment where all students can succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Exceptional Children Department is dedicated to supporting the vision and mission of Gates County Schools by providing high-quality, individualized services that empower students with disabilities to become confident, independent learners. Through collaboration, compliance with state and federal regulations, evidence-based instructional practices, and a commitment to continuous improvement, we strive to ensure equitable access to meaningful educational opportunities. Together, we will foster a culture of excellence, inclusion, and high expectations so that every student is prepared for success in school, career, and life.
