Director's Message
Welcome to the Gates County Schools Career and TEchnical Education program!
My name is Ann Harrell and I serve as the Director of Career and Technical Education for Gates County Schools, a role I have held since 2018. Prior to my experience as a Director, I served as a middle school business teacher at Central Middle School and the Career Development Coordinator at Gates County High School. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from Chowan College and a Master of Arts in Instructional Technology from East Carolina University.
It is my privilege to work alongside our outstanding educators, business and industry partners, and the community members to provide students with meaningful learning experiences to prepare them to become career and college ready.
